Brazil and Mexico Eliminate Korea and Japan Respectively, Reaching Men's final
As the biggest highlight of the current men's Olympic football event, Japan and South Korea both qualify for the semi-finals, which also adds a new chapter in Asian football history. Especially under the considerable progress of football's overall standard recent years, the two Asian football giants are eager to "further".
For the Japanese team, qualifying for the semi-finals of Olympic Games once again after 44 years, of course they desire to create a new history this time. As early as the game with Mexico, the Japanese squad have released the grandiloquence "to strive for the first world championship".
However, the result of the competition is disappointing. In the confrontation with Mexico who were beaten by them previously, Japan scored in 14 minutes, Yuki Otsu opened the score for Japan with a nifty shoot. However, when all the audience thought that the game will be Japan's main rhythm, the Mexicans reversed the game by three goals and qualified for the men's Olympic football final for the first time.
Mexican player Cortes who has scored a goal in the match can't conceal his excitement after the game, the victory made him to look forward to the final, "I'm pleased to score and help Mexico reach the final. My goal is to win the gold medal!"
In the other semi-final between South Korea and Brazil, facing Brazil that containing super stars such as Neymar and Hulk, South Korea performed doggedly as always, but due to the strength gap, they quickly conceded three consecutive goals and lost to Brazil 0-3 finally. As for Brazil, this is their first time to qualify for the final since the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
