Netherland football player made a five-year deal with Bundesliga Monchengladbach who paid €15m to FC Twente in order to sign with him.

Luuk de Jong, who turns his 21 next month, has made 31 appearances in KPN Eredivisie last season scoring 25 goals and has been capped in Netherlands national team for 7 times. Despite the name listed in Bert van Marwijk's UEFA EURO 2012 squad, he didn't get to play. It was September 2011 that he contributed a goal in the game against Finland and that is his only goal for the Oranje so far.

"We are very happy the transfer has finally been completed," Monchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl said. "Luuk will now join the rest of the squad as we head to our summer training camp in Bavaria on Friday. In Luuk de Jong, we now have a highly talented striker in our team, who, despite being only 21, already has plenty of international experience with FC Twente and the Dutch national team."

Mönchengladbach who sealed the fourth place in Bundesliga will start their competition in the play-off stage of UEFA Champions League, and their opponent is to be revealed after draw on August 10, 2012.
