The French Football Federation declared Laurent Blanc will opt to resign after leading France reaching Euro last eight.

The 46-year-old Laurent Blanc replaced Raymond Domenech as the France coach in July, 2010, leading France winning top 1 in preliminary Group D. But he chose to resign after being wept out by Spain.

"After some reflection, Laurent Blanc got in touch with Noël Le Graët, the president of the FFF, to communicate his decision not to seek the renewal of his contract," official statement made an announcement. A meeting is to be held on Tuesday among the FFF members for discussing Blanc's successor and the following news conference.
