Group B:

Germany were regarded as the most promising team who will got championship. They had comprehensive three wins and topped in group. Despite the opening lost to Germany, Portugal defeated successively Denmark and Netherlands and successfully reached the last eight as the second one in group. Denmark got 1 wins and 2 losses and was out together with Netherlands who poorly gained 3 losses.

Group C:

Spain tied Italy and then beat Ireland and Croatia, ranking first in group with 2 wins and 1 draw. Italy rank second by 1 win and 2 draws, smoothly getting into the quarter-final. Croatia achieved 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss with 4 points and Ireland won nothing in 3 failure match, consequently the latter two were eliminated.

Group D:

England defeated Ukraine and Sweden and tied France in group matches, ranking first in Group D by 2 wins and 1 draw. France had 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss with 4 points, staying at the second place and reaching the quarter finals. Ukraine and Sweden all were wept out for only 1 win and 2 losses.
