Before the incoming Champions League encounter between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund in midweek, the Bundesliga champions defender Neven Subotic praised his opponent’s top star Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Serbia international said Cristiano always met the team’s need on the pitch, he was the well-deserved most shining star in Madrid.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is a superb player. He's Madrid's go-to-guy, as the Americans say," Subotic made comments on Ronaldo in the interview with Kicker.

"When you need something, you approach him. If there's something happening, they are looking toward Cristiano. They all know that he's always ready."

Of course, while commending the rival’s player, Subotic did not forget to preach up his teammate Marco Reus. The Serbian believed that even the Real Madrid defense would meet difficulty to stop Reus .

"Marco is a fantastic player," he explained. "I honestly think there's no defender - so no-one at Madrid either - who can shut him out for an entire game. It's impossible to completely eliminate him."

"Marco is a fantastic player and I really think that there is no one else in the world, even Madrid have no guard to shut him out in a full match. It’s almost impossible to completely lock him." He said.
